Modification of Meso-Micromixing Interaction Reaction Model in Continuous Reactors

The yields of chemical reactions are highly dependent on the mixing pattern between reactants. Herein, we report modification a meso-micromixing interaction reaction model which is applied in batch reactors by leveraging flow characteristics continuous reactors. Both experimental and model-predicted were compared using classical Villermaux–Dushman method self-designed split recombination reactor. This modified significantly reduced error predicted product from approximately 15% to within 3%, containing micromixing term only. effects rates reactor structure parameters performance analyzed. We found that increasing degree twist element’s grooves, as well decreasing cross-sectional area improved performance. optimization structural was achieved combining Gaussian process regression Bayesian with model. approach provided higher target for consecutive reactions, while simultaneously achieving lower pressure drop Corresponding combinations also identified during this process. Our model-based methodology can be diversity reactors, serving reference selection their operational parameters.
